Volunteer
We love our volunteers.
Provides one-on-one crisis intervention and on-going counseling. Makes referrals and follow-up contacts with clients. Maintains accurate and confidential files. Also handles incoming client and business calls. Greets clients; also does telephone counseling, and provides on-going friendship to our Birthright clients.
Usually a four-hour weekly commitment. Training is required and provided.
If you don't feel you can counsel just yet you could join a counselor on her shift by doing tests and just generally helping the counselor to spend more time with our clients.
Collects, mends, cleans, irons, and sorts baby and maternity clothing. Variable time commitment.
Makes baby blankets and burp cloths as needed.
